Disclosure of Information Relating to News Publication
Reference is made to Regulation of Financial Services Authority No. 31/POJK.04/2015 regarding Disclosure of Information or Material Fact by Public Listed Company and Regulation of Indonesian Stock Exchange No. 1-E regarding Requirement for Disclosure of Information under Decree of Board of Directors of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia Kep-306/BEK/07-2004, please allow us, PT Sarimelati Kencana Tbk., (the “Company”) to provide disclosure of information concerning the latest update to the bankruptcy process of NPC International Inc., (“NPC”), which decided to close Outlets of Pizza Hut in United States of America and would be further elaborated hereinbelow.
Clarification and Explanation to the Media Publication/News
The Company hereby clarifies that for the past few days that NPC has decided to close several of its Outlets in United States of America. The Company retrieves this information sourced from several news and publications.
Impact to the Company
The Company hereby reinstates our confirmation that NPC does not have any business relation nor legal relation with the Company. The decision by NPC for closing several Outlets shall not raise any consequence, either to the aspect of business sustainability, operational activities, financial and/or legal condition, directly or indirectly, to the Company.
The Company’s Recent Progress
The Company has submitted Mid-Year Financial Statement for the period ending on 30 June 2020 to Indonesian Stock Exchange and Financial Services Authority. In this regard, the Company recorded net profit income in the amount of IDR10.475 Billion.
The Company hereby declares and conforms before the public, including all of its shareholders, investors, consumers and all employees of the Company employed in all regions of Indonesia, whereby the Company currently is still enjoying sound financial status, and shall not be adversely impacted, directly or indirectly, as a result of the court’s decision against NPC in United States of America.
Opening of New Outlets
The Company hereby declares that for the period of Year 2020 up to the date of this Letter, the Company has opened 19 (nineteen) new Outlets in various regions in Indonesia. The latest Outlets opened for the past month, among others, cosists of as follows:
1. City of Pangkal Pinang – Province of Bangka Belitung;
2. Sawangan Depok – Province of Jawa Barat;
3. City of Singkawang – Province of Kalimantan Barat; and
4. City of Palopo – Province of Sulawesi Selatan.
Miscellaneous Information
We hereby declare that, other than the aforementioned clarification and disclosures, the Company does not have any knowledge concerning other information, fact or occurence which are material and may affect the Companys’ shares price fluctuation and business continuity of the Company, which had not been presented before the Public.
